Tiffany Nicole Jones affectionately known as Nikki departed this life on December 30, 2025. She was born to the late Freddie Sr. and Lucy Jones on February 10, 1972. She was preceded in death by her first born grandchild, Heaven Godfrey.
She was educated in Louisa County Public Schools, and was an amazing athlete in basketball and softball...she was known to eat third base up!
She worked for many years at The Arc of the Piedmont for many years until they changed location. She then pursued a career as a CNA and remained in the healthcare field until her passing.
Nikki grew up and remained a member of First Bible Way Church throughout her life; she was baptized and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. She served as a Sunday School teacher, Usher board president, and choir member. During her tenure as usher president, they were not just greeters but trendsetters; always so stylish. She was known and admired for always being on time!
Sis Nikki lit up every room she entered. You knew she had arrived because you could hear her before you saw her. When she entered any room, her smile was the brightest and whitest. It was fun watching her bust down blue crabs because seafood and cabbage were her absolute favorite foods. You could have any conversation with her without feeling judged because she was so genuine. Nikki knew how to adapt to any situation she was handed in life. She was a DIVA and a fashionista who loved to shop, match, and pair everything perfectly. She always kept her hair and nails done to perfection. Nikki almost never left home without her jewelry, and if she did, she would say, "I feel bare." She also kept her fashion sense up by always buying glasses to match her outfits.
Family was her everything, and she loved spending time with them. She had no cut cards; what you saw was what you got. She would do anything she could for her siblings, nieces, and nephews. This was very apparent because she always opened her home to family. At every gathering, she was the life of the party! She was a phenomenal mother to her two daughters! As a single mother, she was always "Miss make it happen," providing everything they needed without fail. She instilled in her girls to always have each other's backs and to advocate for themselves. She pushed them so hard to get a good education because she wanted them to be the best version of themselves and to surpass what she had done.
One of her greatest joys in this life since 2023 was being a grandmother, and it expanded her purpose in life. It gave her life new meaning, being Ya Ya to Jayceon.
She leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Cynthia Douglas and Lashae Mickey; grandson, Jayceon Douglas; two sisters, Brenda Thurston and Cynthia Phoenix; three brothers, Junie Jones, Clarence Jones, and Daniel Jones; Uncle Irvin Jones and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
